Landmark West Project
Created to support historical preservation initiatives on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, VolunteerMusic has been privileged to work with LandmarkWest!, an award-winning non-profit which acts as curator for nearly 2,700 designated architectural and cultural landmarks. Since 1985, Landmark West! has worked to achieve landmark status for individual buildings and historic districts to protect them from insensitive change and demolition. Among its activities are special events, public programs, online resources, school-based education, permit review and outreach to businesses and commercial property owners.
